Hands-On with the new Oprah Magazine iPad app
Mashable had this hands-on with the Oprah Magazine iPad app, the developer behind it being Scrollmotion who also did the fantastic Esquire app. There are some cool features such as 3D rotating images and click-to-tab photo galleries.
An interesting aspect though is the built in ecommerce system, which lets you buy items from their holiday gift guide. These items can be purchased from within the app itself, very useful for a gift guide and includes the book recommendation section - making for some impulsive purchases.
Still waiting on Apple to come up with a subscription service for these iPad mags, buying a seperate app for each magazine will get tedious.
